Brainspotting Therapy

Brainspotting (BSP) is a rapid and highly effective mind-body treatment that uses relevant eye positions to access the brain’s innate self-scanning and self-healing capacities.  BSP can help people heal from experiences including, but not limited to, trauma, anxiety, depression and chronic pain.  Brainspotting providers have specialized training in this technique.

Play Therapy

Play Therapy is not the same as regular, everyday play.  while spontaneous play is a natural and essential part of the developmental process, Play Therapy is a systematic and therapeutic approach.  Play Therapy is a powerful tool for addressing cognitive, behavioral, and emotional challenges.  Licensed professionals use play therapeutically to help clients better process their experiences and develop more effective strategies for managing their worlds.  Research suggests Play Therapy is an effective mental health approach, regardless of age, gender, or the nature of the problem, and works best when a parent, family member, or caretaker is actively involved in the treatment process.

Couples and Family Therapy

Couple’s and Family Therapy uses the Systems perspective, i.e., the whole is always greater than the sum of its parts, in understanding and treating problems. Problems are understood, not in individual terms, but in terms of the family’s structure, rules, roles, intergenerational patterns, family life cycle, context, and patterns of interaction, and are addressed using the family’s resources for change.
